Iran vows to boost military readiness in response to perceived threats
Iran's acting defence minister Majid Emamreza said the country treats every threat from its opponents as "real and reliable," even when it is part of a psychological war. He pledged that Iran will not be surprised or passive, and will use such threats as a basis to increase its military readiness, strengthen its deterrent capability and upgrade its armed forces.
The remarks were made amid heightened war‑related and diplomatic pressure surrounding Iran. In related regional talks, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for dialogue with the United States, and President Donald Trump said he had halted planned attacks at the request of regional countries.
