Iran warns U.S. of strong response to Israeli strikes in Lebanon

Iran has issued a warning to the United States regarding potential Israeli military strikes on Ali al-Taher Hill in southern Lebanon. According to sources cited by Reuters, Tehran signaled through Omani mediators in mid-August that it would respond strongly to any such attack.

The strategic location is reportedly used by Hezbollah for command centers and underground weapons facilities. Sources claim that Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel are stationed in the area alongside Hezbollah forces. While Hezbollah has confirmed its control over the heights, it has not officially commented on the presence of Iranian troops.

The Israeli military has identified the hill as a primary operational target. One foreign official indicated that Israel may have delayed operations at the site following pressure from the United States, though a White House official denied that the U.S. had pressured Israel regarding this specific location.
