Iran wins 15 medals at World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan

The Iranian sports delegation concluded its participation in the sixth edition of the World Nomad Games held in Kyrgyzstan with a total of 15 medals. The haul included 4 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze medals.

This performance represents a significant increase in gold medal success compared to the previous games held in Kazakhstan in 2024, where Iran secured only one gold medal. The gold medalists for this edition were Reza Gheytasi in wood pulling, Sajjad Soltaninejad in strongman competitions, Mostafa Najafi in Geylesh wrestling, and Mostafa Toghani in Pahlavani wrestling.

Silver medals were earned by Sadegh Azarang in Kurash, Mohsen Mirzaei in arm wrestling, and the four-person tug-of-war team consisting of Nader Kazemi, Sajjad Jafari Gohari, Abbas Azimi, and Hamidreza Saeed. The event featured athletes from 104 countries, reinforcing its status as a major international platform for traditional and indigenous sports.
