Iranian Armed Forces assert military readiness and regional deterrence
The Iranian Armed Forces have issued statements asserting their military readiness and commitment to defending the nation's sovereignty against perceived threats from the United States and Israel. The General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that Iran has successfully altered regional security equations, specifically citing its management of the Strait of Hormuz and the perceived decline in the influence of American and Israeli military presence in West Asia.
During a joint combat training ceremony for military academy students, Admiral Habibollah Sayari, the Army Coordinator and Chief of Staff, claimed that previous aggressors failed to achieve their objectives of compromising Iran's territorial integrity or its political system. He asserted that such adversaries are now forced to leave the region.
Additionally, Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, emphasized that the presence of ground units along the country's borders serves as a deterrent. He noted that the ground forces have been transformed into a flexible, rapid-intervention force capable of responding to any external threats based on lessons learned from recent conflicts.
