Iranian Clerics Emphasize Resistance Against Global Hegemony
During public gatherings in Bushehr and Dir, Iranian religious figures Hojatoleslam Javad Nasrollahpour and Hojatoleslam Hosseinzadeh Hesari delivered speeches framing the current political landscape as a historical struggle between truth and falsehood.
Nasrollahpour emphasized the necessity of achieving full deterrence in strategic locations, including the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, and the Bab el-Mandeb strait. He argued that negotiations must be conducted with dignity and strength to avoid signs of weakness. He also contrasted the infrastructure developments under the Islamic Republic, such as gas and electricity expansion, with the previous Pahlavi era despite ongoing sanctions.
Hesseizadeh Hesari criticized United States foreign policy, citing historical military actions in Vietnam, Iraq, and Syria as evidence of global arrogance. He characterized the flag of the Islamic Republic as a symbol of the resistance axis, asserting that the nation stands on the correct side of history in its opposition to Western influence.
