Iranian crypto exchanges restrict nighttime Tether trading
Several Iranian cryptocurrency exchanges, including Nobitex, AbanTether, and RamazinX, have announced temporary restrictions on Tether (USDT) trading in response to directives from the Central Bank of Iran.
From Wednesday, September 30, through Sunday, October 4, Tether trading will be suspended nightly between 21:00 and 09:00. During this period, a daily purchase limit of 2,000 Tether per user has been implemented.
While the restrictions specifically target the Tether-Rial market, exchanges noted that other services, such as asset access, deposits, and withdrawals, will continue as usual. Platforms have advised users with leveraged positions to manage or close them before the nightly halts to mitigate risk, as price discovery processes will be interrupted.
