Iranian filmmakers honor Alireza Davoodnejad on Cinema Day

During celebrations for Cinema Day in Iran, filmmaker Alireza Davoodnejad was honored with a first-class artistic degree. Officials and colleagues, including Seyed Mohammad Mehdi Tabatabaei-nejad and Homayoun Asadian, praised Davoodnejad for his lifelong dedication to the craft and his role in talent discovery within the industry.

In a separate meeting of the Supreme Cinema Council, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized the cultural importance of cinema in promoting national identity and social cohesion. Aref highlighted the government's commitment to the arts, noting the establishment of the Council of Art and Literature alongside the Supreme Cinema Council to elevate the status of artists and writers. He urged filmmakers to depict the nation's achievements and use art as a tool for national unity amidst economic and social challenges.
