Iran's state broadcaster IRIB censored presidential speeches, drawing government criticism

Mohsen Hashimi, a member of the central council of the Kargozaran Party, said IRIB must serve all of Iran rather than a single political current and condemned the channel’s censorship of the president’s remarks stressing rationality and national unity.

Former parliamentary security committee head Hashem Falahet added that IRIB has become a partisan outlet, noting a budget of 35 000 billion rials allocated to the broadcaster and calling for transparent oversight of how public funds are spent.

Both politicians warned that media bias and suppression of the president’s voice undermine government effectiveness, especially amid the nation’s wartime and crisis conditions.
