Iranian markets see rising prices for steel and appliances
The Iranian market is experiencing upward price trends in both industrial steel products and consumer appliances, driven largely by inflationary expectations and currency fluctuations.
In the steel sector, railway rail prices are rising due to increased production costs and limited supply from manufacturers. For instance, Esfahan Steel Company rails are trading in the 129,000 to 130,000 toman range. Other brands like Zafarnab and Shahin Bonab have also seen price increases ranging from 5,000 to 9,000 tomans per unit.
Simultaneously, the home appliance market is facing pressure following the US dollar reaching the 270,000 toman mark. This has impacted the cost of imported finished goods as well as raw materials for domestic production. In the side-by-side refrigerator segment, prices vary significantly by brand and capacity. Snowa models range from approximately 226 million to 268 million tomans, while X-Vision and J Plus models occupy different price tiers. High-end Al-Jider models have reached prices as high as 669 million tomans.
