Iranian military leaders emphasize national defense and soldier roles

Iranian military leaders have issued statements emphasizing the importance of national defense and the role of soldiers during a national festival.

Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Artesh, spoke at the closing ceremony of the first national festival for Iranian soldiers at Imam Ali Officers University. He noted that the conflict is not over and warned that enemies should be prepared to receive hard blows from Iran. Hatami honored various historical figures and martyrs, emphasizing that service to religion and the homeland is a sacred duty.

Separately, Morteza Amoomahdi, the commander of the IRGC in Markazi Province, addressed a soldier appreciation event. He highlighted that soldiers are not merely assistants to commanders but essential components of a collective mission to defend the Islamic Republic and its ideals. Amoomahdi stressed the need for vigilance due to sensitive regional conditions and urged young people to remain aware of societal challenges and their responsibilities.
