Iranian officials focus on market regulation and regional trade expansion

In East Azerbaijan, Governor Bahram Sarmast emphasized the use of legal capacities to ensure public livelihoods and market stability. During a meeting of the Market Regulation Headquarters, Sarmast highlighted the importance of cooperation between market unions and executive bodies to manage supply and price fluctuations, particularly for essential goods and health-related products. He called for increased inspections in pharmacies and medical equipment centers to prevent the distribution of substandard goods and urged transparency regarding market performance and inspections.

In Bushehr, Governor Arsalan Zare met with Hamid Ghanbari, Deputy for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss transforming the province into a regional trade and transit hub. Zare noted that Bushehr’s advantages in energy, agriculture, fisheries, and maritime location allow it to play a significant role in economic relations with regional neighbors, including Russia. Ghanbari noted that recent trade delegations from Bushehr to Russia have been successful, supporting efforts to facilitate exports and attract foreign investment through economic diplomacy.
