Iranian religious leaders address U.S. tensions and national resistance

During Friday prayer sermons in Mashhad and Isfahan, Iranian religious leaders addressed ongoing geopolitical tensions and the nation's stance against the United States.

In Mashhad, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alamolhoda criticized U.S. calculations regarding Iranian resistance, stating that American attempts to end conflicts quickly or influence the country through leadership changes have failed. He asserted that the U.S. is mistaken in believing Iranian resistance will diminish before November and suggested that any actions leading to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz would serve American interests.

In Isfahan, Ayatollah Aboulhasan Mahdavi emphasized the importance of faith and steadfastness in the face of enemies. He referenced messages from the Supreme Leader regarding the role of prayer in spiritual and political struggle, calling on officials and intellectuals to maintain national resilience and religious integrity to counter external pressures.
