Iran's Revolutionary Guard warns civilians to stay 500 m from U.S. bases

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a public warning to civilians in Middle‑East nations that host United States military installations, ordering them to keep a minimum distance of 500 metres from any location used by U.S. personnel. The statement, released through the state news agency IRNA, said that many American service members have reportedly left their bases out of fear of Iranian retaliation and have moved operations to civilian buildings. The IRGC warned that it “will not hesitate to carry out swift retaliation” against any attacks on Iranian infrastructure or civilians.

The warning comes amid a renewed exchange of strikes: Iranian drones have targeted U.S. bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, while the U.S. has conducted a thirteenth night of bombing raids on Iran. The IRGC also urged residents to report any movements of U.S. troops through its public‑relations channels. Diplomatic efforts, including talks within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and mediation by Pakistan, were mentioned alongside the escalation.

The IRGC’s message emphasizes civilian safety and threatens further action if the United States continues its operations in the region.
