Iranian sports officials focus on weightlifting development and stricter club regulations

In Alborz province, Sajad Anoushirvani, President of the Weightlifting Federation, attended the election assembly of the Alborz Weightlifting Board. Anoushirvani emphasized the need for empathy, strategic planning, and the creation of an agile management structure to develop the sport. He noted that despite recent economic difficulties, the federation is focusing on infrastructure and has distributed nearly 100 billion tomans worth of sports equipment to provinces, with two more phases planned.

Separately, in Divandarreh, local authorities led by Governor Nasah Mohammadkhani held a specialized meeting to address the regulation of sports clubs, coaches, and halls. The governor emphasized that all sports activities must operate within legal frameworks, requiring proper licensing and professional qualification verification. Officials stressed that oversight must be continuous rather than limited to the initial issuance of permits to ensure the safety and health of athletes and youth.
