Iran's Araghchi warns Netanyahu against renewed military confrontation

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following statements regarding the elimination of the Iranian regime. In a message posted on X, Araghchi stated that Iran emerged stronger from previous confrontations and challenged Israel to “try your luck again,” while cautioning that there are “unsettled accounts” remaining.

Araghchi accused Netanyahu of attempting to push the United States into a new war to avoid personal imprisonment related to ongoing corruption trials and international arrest warrants. These remarks follow Netanyahu’s assertion that Israel aims to dismantle the Iranian threat and eliminate the capabilities of Hamas and Hezbollah.

The escalation occurs alongside political developments in the United States and Israel. Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed support for Netanyahu ahead of the upcoming Israeli elections, suggesting that if Israel chooses a different leader, the U.S. might have to handle the regional challenges itself. Meanwhile, Netanyahu faces legal scrutiny both domestically and through international warrants issued by the International Criminal Court.
