Iran advances nuclear fusion technology capabilities

Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, announced that the country has entered the development phase of nuclear fusion capabilities. During an event in Tehran to unveil four new knowledge-based achievements, Eslami stated that Iranian scientists have surpassed the technology demonstration threshold and are now moving toward system and capability development.

The showcased technologies include advanced laboratory and industrial equipment, such as systems for photoelectron detection, bolometry, and charge exchange. Additionally, new devices for detecting surface and internal material cracks were presented, intended for use in industrial production lines and nuclear research. Eslami emphasized that these advancements are part of a strategic effort to ensure energy security and keep pace with global scientific progress despite international sanctions and pressures.
