Iran's Ghalibaf rejects U.S. pressure for new concessions
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that Iran will not provide any concessions to the United States that were not originally part of existing agreements, despite ongoing pressure from Washington. In statements shared on social media, Ghalibaf criticized U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, suggesting they are not suited for their roles and should focus on resolving the chaos caused by American policies rather than expecting new concessions.
Ghalibaf emphasized that increased pressure will not force Tehran to exceed previous agreements. He also indicated that Iran would continue to close the Strait of Hormuz until the United States fulfills its obligations, specifically regarding the lifting of the blockade, the release of frozen assets, the removal of oil sanctions, and the cessation of hostilities on all fronts.
