Iran's Health Minister Reports 60 Deaths and 670 Injuries in Southern Conflict

Iran’s Minister of Health and Medical Education, Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, said that recent fighting in the country's southern regions left about 670 people wounded and 60 civilians killed. He presented the figures after a meeting of ministry deputies, praising the work of health teams deployed to the area.

Zafarqandi also highlighted the role of universities, noting that Kerman University of Medical Sciences organized a science‑night event and that Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences provided specialized care for a child‑abuse case. He called for greater public health literacy, preventive training and support from NGOs to improve community health outcomes.
