Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has issued a warning that if Iran is prevented from exporting oil, no other country in the region will be able to sell oil. He further stated that regional energy infrastructure would not be secure unless Iran's own security is guaranteed.

These remarks come amid heightened tensions and US sanctions that have severely restricted Iranian crude exports. While the US military reported that over 1 billion barrels of oil have passed through the Strait of Hormuz recently with US assistance, Iran faces a significant blockade.

In the midst of these threats, Qatar is reportedly mediating discussions between Tehran and Washington regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi noted that they are awaiting a final response from the US via the Qatari mediator. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has denied reports that his administration offered to ease sanctions or release frozen Iranian assets, calling such claims a 'hoax.' Following the escalations, Brent crude oil prices rose to approximately 105 USD per barrel.
