Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Jamenei burial scheduled for July 9

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Jamenei, who died on 28 February during the Israel‑U.S. offensive, will be buried on 9 July in the city of Mashhad, his birthplace. The funeral rites will begin on 4 July and span six days, with ceremonies in Tehran, Qom and other locations across the country. The burial had been postponed for months because of the regional conflict, which delayed the official mourning schedule. After Jamenei’s death, his son Mojtaba Jamenei assumed the position of Supreme Leader but has not appeared publicly since.
