Iran's Supreme Leader urges judicial reforms during Judicial Power week

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a message on the occasion of the Judicial Power week and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Beheshti and his companions. He expressed condolences, saying “به همه‌ی ملّت ایران و امّت اسلامی تسلیت میگویم” (I offer condolences to the people of Iran and the Islamic nation). Khamenei called for the Judicial Power to strengthen public trust by combating corruption, speeding up case handling, improving health and diligence of judges, and making justice visible in daily life. He urged all institutions to align their performance with the standards of the Islamic Republic and to ensure that those holding power cannot violate individual rights. The leader highlighted the need to pursue accountability for international crimes affecting Iran, particularly war atrocities in Minab and Lamerd during 2024‑2025, and to seek redress for victims of such violations. He emphasized that justice must be applied uniformly, protecting the nation’s economic security, environmental health, and civic freedoms.
