Iran's Supreme Leader warns of expelling enemy forces from Arabian Sea

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a warning that enemy forces will soon be expelled from the Arabian Sea. Khamenei claimed that adversaries have suffered “painful blows” from Iranian combatants and guardians of the Strait of Hormuz, preventing them from advancing beyond the Arabian Sea. He stated that the region would soon be “cleared of their presence.”

These remarks come amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington following the rejection of an Iranian ceasefire proposal by US President Trump. While Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the country remains open to diplomacy, he also noted that Iran is “fully prepared” to resume full-scale war with the United States.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected Iran’s claims of maritime control, responding to the Supreme Leader's assertions by stating, “Iran has no navy.” The escalation follows recent maritime incidents in the Strait of Hormuz and coincides with the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War and the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
