Irapuato and Jamaica strengthen cultural ties at FIC

During the 54th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino (FIC) in Irapuato, municipal president Lorena Alfaro García hosted Julia Elizabeth Hyatt, the Ambassador of Jamaica to Mexico. The meeting aimed to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote cultural exchange between the two nations.

As part of the diplomatic visit, a free concert was held in the historic center featuring the local reggae group Oh My Jah and the Mexican band La Comuna. The event served to connect Jamaican rhythmic heritage with local talent, reinforcing Irapuato’s role as a key venue for international cultural convergence.
