Irapuato authorities suspend parties and promote cultural programs
Municipal authorities in Irapuato, Guanajuato, suspended at least three parties over the past weekend. According to Julio González Borja, director of Fiscalización, the events were held in establishments charging admission where minors were present and alcohol was being sold without the necessary permits or required conditions.
González Borja stated that the inspections aim to ensure establishments comply with municipal regulations and protect children and adolescents. Authorities plan to continue supervision operations, particularly during the upcoming December holiday season, to detect unauthorized events involving entrance fees.
In separate news, the Irapuato government presented its 2027 Municipal Call System for cultural activities. Mayor Lorena Alfaro García and the Director of the Institute of Culture and Tourism, Gloria Cano de la Fuente, highlighted the program as a regional reference for artistic talent. The system includes 19 annual calls across disciplines such as dance, theater, literature, visual arts, music, and gastronomy.
