Irapuato hosts labor inclusion event and smoke-free recognition

In Irapuato, Guanajuato, the 'Conexión Laboral para la Inclusión Irapuato 2026' event was held to promote employment access and strengthen ties between local talent and the productive sector. The initiative featured more than 20 companies offering 329 job vacancies. Luis Andrés Álvarez Aranda, Subsecretary of Employment and Labor Training, emphasized the importance of creating spaces where individuals can demonstrate their capabilities and access professional development.

Separately, eight municipal government agencies and facilities in Irapuato were recognized as '100% Smoke and Emission Free Spaces 2026'. The distinction, awarded by Sanitary Jurisdiction VI, honors compliance with regulations regarding tobacco smoke and vaping products. Recognized entities include the General Directorates of Economic Development, Social and Human Development, and Sustainability, as well as the Institute for Irapuatense Women (INMIRA), the Municipal Housing Institute (IMUVII), the Environmental Education Center, the Historic Center Coordination, and the local water and sanitation board (JAPAMI).
