Irapuato hosts youth awards and summer cultural programs

The city of Irapuato, Guanajuato, is hosting several cultural and civic events throughout August 2026. In recognition of International Youth Day, the 2026 State Youth Prize was awarded at the Inforum Irapuato to honor young people contributing to the development of Guanajuato through innovation and community service.

Additionally, the Irapuato Institute of Culture and Tourism (ICULTUR) has announced a summer agenda featuring diverse artistic activities. This includes the ‘Irapuato Vive 2026’ commemorative program, which reflects on the historical impact of the Great Flood of 1973. The cultural lineup also features international dance performances, such as the Ballet Clásico and the Ballet Hispánico de Nueva York, as well as local groups like the Ballet Folclórico de Irapuato preparing for an international festival in Panama.
