Irapuato vehicle collision leaves five people injured

A collision involving two pickup trucks on Guerrero Avenue at the intersection with Paseo Solidaridad Boulevard in Irapuato, Guanajuato, has left five people injured. The victims include a 35-year-old man and four women aged 10, 12, 29, and 40.

Emergency responders, including municipal police, civil protection, firefighters, and Red Cross paramedics, attended the scene. One 12-year-old girl was reported in ‘code red’ condition, while three others were classified as ‘code yellow’ and one as ‘code green’. Rescuers had to perform extraction maneuvers to free the driver of one vehicle, who was trapped in the wreckage.

Preliminary assessments suggest that excessive speed and lack of precaution were the primary factors in the accident. Municipal transit authorities managed the scene and coordinated the removal of the vehicles.
