Iraq faces political instability amid calls for protests
Political tensions are escalating in Iraq as figures who previously held state positions call for protests and a change to the political system. These calls have sparked debate regarding whether the movement is a genuine attempt at reform or a strategic move by former officials to regain political influence.
Political analyst Abdullah Al-Kinani warned that such calls, particularly those originating from outside the country, come at a sensitive time when Iraq is facing complex regional and economic challenges. He noted that some former administrators failed to achieve necessary results and cautioned that uncalculated escalations could increase domestic pressure and threaten the stability of state institutions.
