Iraq Prime Minister Ali Zeydi Sets Goal to Raise Oil Output to 7 Million Barrels Daily

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Zeydi announced that the country aims to increase daily crude production to 7 million barrels within three years. He said the target has been presented to U.S. companies as part of a push for a strong economic partnership with the United States.

Zeydi emphasized that Iraq wants to be seen as a centre of dialogue and stability rather than a conflict zone. He reiterated good neighbourly relations with Iran and noted that investigations have found no evidence of attacks from Iraqi soil against Saudi Arabia. The plan reflects Iraq’s broader strategy to boost its oil sector while maintaining regional stability.
