Iraq Prime Minister invites Turkish companies to invest in development projects

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih ez-Zeydi has invited Turkish companies to participate in Iraq’s growing investment and development sectors. During a meeting in Baghdad with a delegation led by Kalyon Holding Vice Chairman Lütfi Elvan, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding joint work areas.

Prime Minister Zeydi highlighted several strategic sectors for potential investment, including the construction and operation of airports, railway projects under the Development Road Project, and a metro line connecting the cities of Najaf and Karbala. Additionally, he noted opportunities in the energy sector through thermal power plants and solar energy projects, as well as dam construction and agricultural development.

Lütfi Elvan stated that leading Turkish companies are prepared to enter the Iraqi market. He noted that confidence in Iraq’s investment environment is increasing, citing the incentives and facilities provided by the Iraqi government to support economic growth and development projects.
