Iraq security source warns of US-Israeli plan to target air defenses

A security source in Iraq’s Anbar Province has warned of a confidential joint plan between the United States and Israel aimed at targeting Iraq’s air defense systems. The objective of this plan is reportedly to weaken Iraqi defenses to facilitate subsequent airstrikes against specific security positions within the country.

The source indicated that U.S. authorization has paved the way for Israeli operations, including potential strikes on Al-Hashd al-Shaabi security positions in Baghdad. It was noted that Israeli aircraft have previously violated Iraqi airspace, during which they identified advanced radar systems capable of downing aircraft if further attacks are launched.

The reported strategy seeks to neutralize air defenses under strict secrecy before conducting aerial bombardments against selected security targets to achieve specific strategic interests.
