A high-level technical delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources visited Egypt to study the country’s water resource management and modern irrigation technologies. The delegation, consisting of eight senior experts and engineers, met with Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Hani Sewilam, to exchange expertise and address growing water sector challenges.

The visit included technical sessions on Egypt’s strategic vision for water management, modern irrigation systems, and agricultural wastewater treatment projects. The Iraqi experts toured several key facilities, including the Irrigation Museum in the New Capital, the National Water Research Center in Al-Qanater Al-Khayriya, and the New Delta wastewater treatment plant.

Additionally, the delegation inspected the SCADA central monitoring system, studied biological weed control methods, and visited model farms utilizing modern irrigation.
