Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Fadel Al‑Zeidi vows to block threats from Iraq’s territory toward neighbors

Prime Minister and commander‑in‑chief of the armed forces, Ali Fadel Al‑Zeidi, chaired an emergency meeting on regional security developments. He stressed the need to prevent any violation or threat originating from Iraqi territory against neighboring states.

Al‑Zeidi ordered the creation of a joint security committee and the implementation of deterrent mechanisms to avoid repeat incidents. He directed Iraqi security agencies to enforce the law, strengthen stability, and uphold sovereignty and good neighbourly relations, affirming the armed forces’ readiness to thwart any attempts targeting neighboring countries.
