IRB(P&D) Forum to discuss insurance protection strategies in Brazil

The 3rd IRB(P&D) Forum will take place on August 26 in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the theme “There is no future without insurance: science, innovation, and resilience to expand protection.” The event, which is a major research and development gathering for the insurance and reinsurance sectors, is supported by the National Confederation of Insurers (CNseg) and the IRB Institute.

Key discussion panels will address strategies to reduce the protection gap in Brazil. One session will explore the role of cooperativism in expanding insurance access to underserved regions and demographics. Another panel will examine industry challenges regarding protection for families, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and residences.

Experts from academia and the market, including representatives from the Ministry of Finance and various insurance cooperatives, will participate to discuss how innovation, modern regulatory environments, and public-private collaboration can create more accessible and sustainable insurance solutions for Brazilian society.
