Ireland and Britain announce consumer product recalls over safety concerns

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an urgent recall of more than 30 Pettitt's Kitchen ready‑meal products because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Retailers are instructed to remove the batches from shelves and display recall notices. No illnesses have been reported so far, and consumers are advised not to eat the affected meals.

In the United Kingdom, the Office for Product Safety and Standards has recalled a range of consumer items sold by major retailers. The recall includes a facial sticker containing excessive phthalates, which poses a chemical risk to children, and several television models and plug accessories that present a fire hazard due to non‑compliant fuses. Buyers are urged to stop using the products and obtain refunds or replacements.
