Ireland and Northern Ireland host October cultural and Halloween festivals

Ireland and Northern Ireland are preparing for a diverse array of cultural events and Halloween celebrations throughout October 2026.

In Fermanagh, Enniskillen will host ‘Halloween Unleashed’ from October 23 to 31, featuring a Pumpkin Patch Experience on Castle Island, the Fright on Forthill illuminated installations, and a Witchy Trail. Other local activities include the Spooktacular 5K, a Halloween Parade, and fireworks. Additional regional programming includes spooky cruises on Lough Erne, activities at Share Discovery Village, and a Harvest Fair at Florence Court.

Across the island of Ireland, festivities will emphasize the ancient heritage of Samhain through folklore, music, and storytelling. Notable anniversaries include the 75th anniversary of the Wexford Festival Opera, 30 years of Baboró, and 40 years of Macnas and Derry Halloween. The month's calendar also includes the Dublin Theatre Festival and the Bram Stoker Festival.
