Ireland faces unseasonable weather shift with showers and thunderstorms forecast
Met Eireann warned that Ireland will experience an unseasonable shift in the coming days, with temperatures ranging from the mid‑teens to low‑20s Celsius. While brief sunny spells are expected, the forecast calls for increasingly windy conditions and frequent rain, especially over the north‑west.
Outbreaks of rain and thundery downpours are predicted for the weekend, with Saturday likely to be cloudy and humid and Sunday gradually clearing to a mix of sunshine and showers. Early next week the weather should become drier, though isolated showers may persist.
The agency’s outlook highlights uncertainty in the details but stresses that the period will be marked by mixed conditions, higher humidity and gusty winds across much of the country.
