Donegal Gardai have issued a warning to students and the public regarding potential accommodation scams. With college course offers expected following the exam results, scammers may target first-time and returning students with false rental contracts or fake keys. Officials advise that students should never agree to rent a property without an in-person viewing, avoid paying deposits in cash, and ensure they have a written lease and working keys before making payments. Those who suspect fraud are urged to contact their banks and report the incident to the Gardai immediately.
Students can access their results starting at 10am on Friday via the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP). The State Examinations Commission provides a helpdesk for portal access issues. For those navigating the next steps, the Central Applications Office (CAO) manages offer rounds and available places, with students using their best six subjects to calculate CAO points.
