Ireland management confirmed for Shinty-Hurling internationals
The management teams for the upcoming Shinty-Hurling and Shinty-Camogie internationals have been announced. The hybrid sporting events will see Irish male and female teams compete against Scottish opponents in a double-header scheduled for Saturday, 24 October, at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Eamon O’Shea, the former Tipperary senior hurling manager, will lead the men’s team, while Ger Manley will manage the women’s team. The series serves as a cross-border showcase of stick-and-ball traditions, allowing players to test their skills in an international setting outside the standard championship schedules. The event highlights the shared heritage between hurling and shinty while requiring athletes to adapt to different tactical demands and playing conventions.
