Ireland rugby faces injury crisis ahead of Nations Championship

Ireland's rugby squad is facing a significant injury crisis ahead of their upcoming Nations Championship Tests against Argentina, Fiji, and South Africa. Centre Garry Ringrose is expected to miss the campaign due to a hamstring injury and will remain with Leinster for rehabilitation.

Ringrose is the latest in a growing list of unavailable players, which includes Caelan Doris, Jack Boyle, Harry Byrne, Jack Conan, Jack Crowley, Iain Henderson, Paddy McCarthy, Calvin Nash, and Bryn Ward. Additionally, Jimmy O’Brien is recovering from a concussion, while Sam Prendergast is managing a wrist injury.

With the midfield vacancy, former England international Dan Kelly, who currently plays for Munster, has emerged as a potential candidate for a senior Ireland call-up. Kelly previously represented Ireland at the Under-20 level and has since featured for Ireland A.
