Ireland rugby faces injury setbacks ahead of Nations Championship

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell faces significant selection challenges ahead of the November Nations Championship due to multiple player injuries. Leinster back-row Jack Conan suffered a shoulder injury during a Champions Cup match against Clermont Auvergne, leaving his availability for upcoming fixtures uncertain.

Conan joins captain Caelan Doris on the injury list, as Doris is expected to remain sidelined until the new year following complications from knee surgery. Other unavailable players include Jack Crowley, Jack Boyle, Paddy McCarthy, Jordan Larmour, and Harry Byrne.

Farrell is scheduled to announce his squad for the November fixtures on Wednesday, October 21. Ireland is set to host Argentina, Fiji, and South Africa at the Aviva Stadium, with the tournament concluding at Twickenham.
