The SuperValu Tidy Towns Awards have announced winners across Ireland, with Buncrana and Abbeyleix securing major titles. Buncrana was named Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town, earning 412 points and a gold medal. The town also received the Regional Award for the North West and West.
Abbeyleix was crowned Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town, also finishing with 412 points. This achievement marks the town’s 11th consecutive gold medal. Abbeyleix finished just one point behind the overall national winner, Ballinahown in Co. Westmeath.
In County Donegal, Creeslough received the Donegal Endeavour Award, while Letterkenny and Glenties were ranked as the second and third tidiest towns in the county, respectively. Other Donegal towns, including Raphoe and Moville, were awarded gold medals, while Donegal Town and Malin received silver medals.
