Iren Ambiente acquires 100% of ETAmbiente for 15 million euros

Iren Ambiente has completed the acquisition of ETAmbiente S.p.A., gaining 100% control of the Florence-based company specializing in urban hygiene services. The transaction involved purchasing the remaining 66.09% stake from the Luxembourgish firm ETHL S.à r.l. for 15 million euros.

This move follows Iren's initial 33.91% acquisition during the EGEA Group takeover between 2024 and 2025. The final closing was contingent upon receiving formal authorization from the Antitrust Authority.

ETAmbiente operates across Central-Northern Italy and Sardinia, employing nearly 600 people and managing services for approximately 50 municipalities, serving a total population of 650,000 citizens. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Iren's position in the waste management sector and leverage industrial synergies.
