Ecomondo 2026: Environmental companies present strategic plans in Rimini
At the Ecomondo 2026 trade fair in Rimini, several major players in the environmental and circular economy sectors presented new strategic initiatives and industrial plans.
Iren Ambiente announced an industrial plan through 2035 involving 2.2 billion euros in investments. The plan aims to enhance waste management, material recovery, and environmental services, with a goal of reaching a 75 percent waste separation rate in its service areas by 2035.
Fuso Italia Spa officially introduced itself to the press as a national distributor. The company intends to expand its presence in environmental services while targeting growth in the last-mile delivery and construction sectors using its Canter and eCanter models.
Ecopneus, a non-profit consortium focused on the recovery and recycling of end-of-life tires (PFU), highlighted the importance of circular economy practices. The organization aims to overcome market skepticism regarding the quality of recycled materials by emphasizing their functional and safety guarantees.
Additionally, Unioncamere Puglia and the Puglia Region showcased industrial symbiosis models, which allow companies to transform production waste into resources for other industrial processes.
