Irena Beqiraj criticizes Albanian socialist political integrity

Irena Beqiraj has issued a sharp critique of the current state of the socialist political movement in Albania. She expressed deep shame regarding what she described as the 'criminal left' of the country, specifically targeting veteran socialists who she claims have sacrificed their political conscience to maintain personal privileges.

Beqiraj argued that true political character is defined by the decisions made when doing what is right requires the loss of power. She criticized those who remain loyal to a 'socialist autocrat' at the expense of personal integrity and accused certain political factions of behaving like a dangerous sect that represents one of the most significant distortions of Albanian public life since the state's founding in 1912.
