Irena Santor celebrates 75 years of musical career

Polish singer Irena Santor is celebrating 75 years of artistic work. To mark this milestone, Telewizja Polska (TVP) has released a documentary titled ‘Irena Santor. Magiczny jeden krok’ (Irena Santor. A Magical Single Step), directed by Agnieszka Gola.

The documentary, which took five years to produce, follows Santor’s career from her early years with the ‘Mazowsze’ ensemble to her solo success beginning in 1959. It features personal reflections on her career, success, and life, and was filmed during her final concert tour.

Santor’s career includes numerous hits such as ‘Embarras’, ‘Powrócisz tu’, and ‘Maleńki znak’. Recent celebrations of her jubilee included a concert titled ‘Kręci mnie ten świat’ at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw, featuring artists from various generations of Polish music.
