IRENISA unveils 26AW collection themed Latent Presence

The fashion brand IRENISA has unveiled its 26AW collection, centered on the theme ‘Latent Presence’. Designed by the duo Yuji Abe and Yu Kobayashi—both formerly of Yohji Yamamoto and Support Surface respectively—the collection focuses on ‘Japanese formality’ through restrained aesthetics and high-quality materials rather than overt decoration.

Key pieces include a field blouson with a liner made from a custom wool and kid mohair blend, and a mist-bleached denim tracker jacket featuring high-twist cotton from Bingo, Hiroshima. The designers emphasize meticulous construction, such as tailored silhouettes in denim and the use of architectural inspiration to create garments that possess a ‘willful silence’.
