Ires Fvg concludes student project on socio-economic data literacy

The DiscoverFVGEconomy project, promoted by Ires Fvg with support from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, concluded its 2025-2026 edition with an event titled ‘C’era una volta il dato’ at the Liceo Percoto in Udine.

The initiative aimed to improve data literacy among students by transforming complex socio-economic indicators and statistical data into accessible formats such as fairy tales and illustrated tables. Participating students from Liceo Percoto, Educandato Uccellis, and Isis Galilei-Fermi-Pacassi engaged in workshops to interpret regional economic and social themes, including gender differences in the labor market, education levels, and employment dynamics.

Speakers at the event included representatives from the Order of Journalists of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Istat Fvg, and Ires Fvg. The project sought to provide young people with the tools to understand their surrounding reality and participate more consciously in the economic and social life of their territory.
