IRGC announces destruction of foreign intelligence team in western Iran

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the neutralization of a two-person team allegedly linked to foreign intelligence services in western Iran. The operation, carried out by units within the Najaf Ashraf Base and the Ansar al-Rasul Brigade, followed continuous monitoring of border and regional movements.

Authorities seized a shipment of weapons and communication equipment, including 10 Starlink satellite internet terminals, 10 Kalashnikov rifles, and 5,000 rounds of ammunition.

One of the detainees stated that the contact was initiated via Telegram by an individual claiming to reside in Kurdistan. The suspect, who previously engaged in goods smuggling, claimed they were recruited under the guise of transporting a package for money. The individual cautioned others against suspicious offers in cyberspace, claiming they had inadvertently fallen into a trap set by a terrorist network.
