IRGC officials assert high combat readiness in Persian Gulf

Senior officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have emphasized Iran's military readiness and the population's commitment to national defense. Major General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, senior advisor to the IRGC Commander-in-Chief, visited fighters at the Medina City headquarters of the IRGC Land Force. He stated that troops stationed at the Persian Gulf islands possess high combat readiness, fortified positions, and appropriate weaponry to defend the region.

Separately, IRGC Commander Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh reported that approximately 33 million Iranian citizens have registered for the ‘Rouhi Fada’ initiative to defend the country. Hassanzadeh asserted that Iran is prepared for large-scale organized public maneuvers and remains capable of thwarting external threats. He specifically noted that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iranian control and emphasized that the nation's military strength is self-reliant and capable of continuous production despite potential targeting of infrastructure.
